Deep Work by Cal Newport
This book teaches and explains how crucial it is to master concentration for anyone who intends to stay ahead in a complex information economy, and how to systematically train the mind to focus. It explains that in the changing world where people are being replaced by computers, it is more valuable than ever to be good at what you do in order to be an asset. One of the ways to do this in a world full of constant distractions, is to be extremely good at delivering and providing results. To provide result entails engaging in complete deep focused work. This book explores the methods and mindset that foster a practice of distraction-free productivity at work, and shows how anyone can achieve this elusive state.
The Power of habit By Charles Duhigg
One of my favourite books! This book explains how habits are the building blocks that influence the way we are. It offers a step by step breakdown of how small subtle changes in behaviour can do towards our success. I really like this book because it provides key evidence-based theories and examples of how the habit processes work, and then provides the tools of how to form or change the habits you want.
