Mind ▪ Body ▪ Black is a blog inspired to empower, educate and elevate women of colour to strive for excellence! This blog is particularly dedicated to the millennial generation of colour who may feel low, misunderstood, have low self esteem or self confidence, or anyone who just needs some motivation on that day!
This is also my personal journey towards health, happiness and fulfilment. Through my own personal journey to fulfilling my potential, I aim to share personal experiences, the highs and lows and provide motivation and inspiration whilst you are on this personal development journey with me. I personally have been in a similar situation for many years. I hope to show any person in a similar position that you don’t have to do this alone. The road to maintaining a healthy mind body and spirit starts with yourself first, but maintenance is a supportive team effort. People may give up on themselves a thousand times, but if they have that supportive network, it provides courage and strength to carry on. This acts as a platform to bring women of colour together to support and encourage each other on their journey to success, and share experiences with each other. I hope this blog will helps you in a way that it helps me.
I truly believe that in order to maintain overall well being and happiness, physical psychological and spiritual health need to be maintained simultaneously. It is for this reason Mind ▪ Body ▪ Black is split up into three facets. ‘Mind‘ is dedicated to mental health and care, providing knowledge and understanding the mind and why we think the way we do. This is a platform to talk about aspects of thought and feelings, ways of changing our thinking, mental illnesses and anxieties as women, family, relationships etc. The ‘Body‘ aspect relates to our physical being, such as how to manage and maintain black hair, skin and weight health through diet, fitness, and understanding physical disease and health, and how is may affect us as women. Finally, ‘Black‘ represents us as black and minority ethnic people connecting, supporting, and teaching each other. It is a platform to teach and learn about ourselves through our history, cultures and traditions, our trials and tribulations as black people, businesses, and our world in general.
I hope this blog will helps you in a way that it helps me.
