The second spotlight is on Shalom Blac..
To me, she is something so special. What she has done despite her adversities is amazing. She was burnt as a child and had to leave her hometown of Nigeria for medical reasons. She now lives in America, but despite the horrific challenges and adversities faced such as bullying, abuse, surgeries for her health and low self-esteem, she has been able to rise above it with a vengeance and not let any of that defeat her.
Despite everything, she has been able to become vulnerable in front of the world to educate, tell her story, and use her platform to teach others about self-love, as well as help other burn victims who have faced similar adversities to be brave and develop the confidence she has developed through her YouTube channel.
I cannot even imagine what she has been through, but following her journey and seeing her rise above this in my eyes she is one of the strongest, bravest people I have ever come across. What is more, she is using her platform to be able to help thousands of people out there to develop the confidence like she has and teach them to be their own kind of beautiful.❤️
She inspires me because she has shown me that it is OK to be vulnerable, and that it is important to be brave and use your trials and tribulations as lessons to become something great. Every hurdle in life is a blessing in disguise.
